Getting down and dirty

This past weekend I ran the Dirty Dash.

For those of you that live under a rock, the Dirty Dash is a 10k or 5k run through the mud with obstacles such as hay barrels, rope swings and mud pits placed in your way. Obviously I ran the 5k, because let's face it... I'm not in the best of shape and who would willingly want to run 6 miles in mud?!

I ran with these girls....... And our team name was VOLDEMORT!

Every few minutes I kept yelling out in pain saying my kidney hurts. (apparently I have either a kidney stone, a kidney infection, or both) I got a lot of interesting looks from the other runners because most people don't go around saying their kidney hurts. Even though I was in pain for most of it, The Dirty Dash was incredible fun  and I'm so glad a ran it.

Paris holds the key to my heart

This time a year ago I was running wild around Paris with some of my favorite people. We ate crepes and creme brûlée to our hearts content while running from museum to museum to see all the amazing art and beauty that Paris contains. I have probably never walked so much in one day....or complained so much in one day, the heat and exhaustion definitely got to me.
But that week in France was one of the most memorable weeks I have ever had. I wish I could go back and just sit and enjoy every detail of the sights we saw. I really do love Paris and it holds some of my favorite things in life.

Crepes        Sainte Chapelle             Louvre
musée d'Orsay        Chartes Cathedral                    Versailles             Eiffel Tower
 Sacre Coeur              Notre Dame

Fragonard Perfumeur        Arc de Triomphe                            Musee de l'Orangerie

Home Improvements

A few weeks ago I moved back down to Provo! I love having roommates and friends to always do stupid stuff with. As college students we do a lot of spur of the moment stuff....... like decide to redecorate our apartment(ok, we never actually decorated it to begin with).

Yesterday began with our landlord bringing over new chairs because we DESPERATELY needed new chairs, as you can see below.....

As to why the old tenants decided to reupholster the chairs with pink swirly fabric, I will never understand. Thankfully we now have new wood chairs!!!!! The chairs alone are a HUGE improvement to the apartment.

My roommates and I were all to happy to take the lovely pink chairs to DI. As always, DI turned into quite the adventure. My roommate Sophia found an awesome coffee table and we decided to paint it.

I am in love with our new coffee table!

We also decided to buy a bunch of random frames. The plan is to paint them, then put pictures from around the world that we have taken and make a frame wall!

My roommates and I definitely have some more projects to complete and things to buy before our humble adobe is completely decorated and cute, but I'm excited to see how it all turns out!
